Despicable Me Minions
« on: September 07, 2014, 07:58:01 PM »
Apolgies if this is the wrong board, but I couldn't decide between here, Modern Adventures and Other Adevntures ???

I don't know if these are new out, or if I've just missed them, but Hasbro are producing a load of Minions from Despicable Me 2.

They're sold as a playset and Battle Pods Game blind bags. I did pick a single one up on Friday for £3.00

Size wise, they're not too bad. The one I bought is 20mm high, and scales quite well with normal figures (shown below against Hasslefree and Heresy figs). There are other Despicable Me blind bags out there with much bigger figures (50mm), so make sure it's the battle pods ones before you buy (unless you want the bigger figures, of course ;D)

They're standard Battle Pods soft plastic, so probably not too easy to repaint. However, the quality of the paint job is more than adequate. I can see these fitting into a 7TV setting very well (hence my difficulty in deciding on a board) - James Bond wouldn't stand a chance ;D

Does anyone know of suitable Gru or Dr Nefario figures?

edited to remove the link to the blind bags. It turns out they were charging £40 for a £3 figure - was not pleased when it arrived. It's on its way back (despite their offer to reduce the price to a mere £26 ::))

That thread heading looks ideal, but I can't see any of the images  :-[

Looking at the page source, it's trying to load from servimg.com, but when I try the image link directly it leads me to a login page for the service...

I'll post on that thread and see if they can help
