Painted Post Apoc L.A. Minis Same minis-different background

After seeing the new release of Post Apocalyptic minis just posted, figured I would post some I have painted. Finished these a few months ago and took so photos of them. Did not like how the pictures turned out, so did not post them. So have tried again. Still learning the ropes of taking photos, hope you like them.

I'd go for the ones with scenery.
That said, you might want to place them together more.
With the plain background you put them base to base whereas with the terrain you left some space in between. By doing so, they're a lot smaller in the pics and you definitly want to show off this eye candy

In terms of looking at the miniatures, the original white background works better - you tend to be closer to the figures in those shots, and they stand out more clearly against the white, where against the buildings the figures don't stand out as distinctly (esp. in some cases where the colors on the figures are close to the color of the building).  However, the shots against the buildings are interesting as more of a "real life"/in game look.  Two different approaches to photographing miniatures, both with their good points.  In both cases I think you did a good job with the pictures, and I certainly think you did an excellent job painting the minis.  Thanks for sharing!

Whilst the pictures with the scenery in look more atmospheric, the white background sets the figures off more... Think I prefer the white (if the figures were interacting with the scenery more - say firing through the windos or stacking up to assault the  door it'd probably swing them back).

That said, both sets off photos show more care/planning than my photos normally do!

I see what you mean about the figures being closer together, they do look larger.
Will have to think about placement next time I pose figures.
All this is pretty new to me, but am having fun with taking photos.

Sinewgrab-  I am planning to run a small campaign starting in a few weeks.
I need to put together more terrain. With the LAMinis and other minis I have I have about 130 figures painted.
Yes it would be cool to start out the campaign with your "Fallout" terrain, lots of eye candy there.
