First edition was a really nice system, but needed a gamesmaster/umpire and seemed to be aimed at  convention gaming. From Howard's various comments the new version looks like it is less umpie driven.

45 Adventure is well worth a look for anyone interested in Pulp, great system and Rich's new Amazing War Stories is ideal for anyone into weird war.

That's more or less true - I've put in a card sequence (the one I used in 'Gangsters - Mad Dogs with Guns') to allow a more structured game for those who want it. And I've added some optional detail for those who care which part of their body has been hit by Mauser fire. But the basic rules are dead simple, because I think that games ought to move at more or less the same speed as B-movies.
