Greetings from the Auvergne
« on: November 08, 2011, 08:40:06 PM »
Bonjour!

I'm a historical wargamer from London who has now moved to France near the lovely market town of Ambert in Puy de Dome (63).

I've got a decent number of 28mm Napoleonic and Ancients figures as well as a wide selection of 20mm WW2 and enjoy playing General de Brigade, Impetus and Blitzkrieg Commander.

I'm interested in trying other rules as well!

Now, are there any wargames clubs or wargamers nearby?

I've had a look at a number of websites and fora but have not been successful in finding any so far so please get in touch if you know of any or would like a game sometime.

Cheers,

Paul

Welcome to LAF Paul.

Sadly I'm no help on the gaming front as I'm in perfidious Albion, but I wish you luck in your quest - and in the meantime, enjoy the view. I'm sure there's plenty here to whet your appetite!

Can't help you find any local gamers either, sorry.  But I can welcome you to the forum, so... Welcome to LAF!

Welcome to the site, I hope you find someone nearby, there are more gamers not in clubs than memebers.  If there is a local show, you may link up with a few.  This is a helpful site and you will get feedback if anyone has info.  Is there a French network?

Welcome to LAF 8)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/
