Chinese Dwarfs
« on: December 28, 2011, 12:44:32 AM »
Outland Miniatures has some figures called the Dwarves of Lokai being a collector of dwarf armies I bought a few, they came today and I was surprised to see they are dwarfs in Chinese armor with Chinese weapons.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Not what I was expecting/hoping for. Quite nice models but not for me.

They aren't really stunty, are they? A bit slender and delicate - the last two look like elvish princelings to me...

I like the Outland stuff. I hadn't seen the dwarves but I like that they are not fat and squashed like with some manufacturers. Notice that they don't all have beards either.

I don't know if there is some sort of background that they are for - perhaps the sculptor's own D&D campaign? Or whether it is all just random.
