Bomb Squig Necklace
« on: 28 November 2011, 06:20:42 PM »
One of the stranger commissions I have ever taken on and actually my penultimate one for the foreseeable future

sorry if some pictures are slightly out of focus hard to hold the chain in one hand the take pictures without a tripod in the other :(

All done and off to the eventual owner.

Adorable and all, but won't it chip like hell if worn around the neck?

yes mate, to commissioner was told "thats a daft idea it will chip being metal" this but still wanted it done, I have put on about 30 coats of varnish but I doubt even that will save it.

End of the say it's not my money that's being wasted........and when a woman has her mind set on something they usually get it! I gave up arguing with women a long time ago it is a futile endeavour.

Lol, you should have added some dipping stuff on it, maybe a transparent one! ;)

Great necklace, maybe it should be great for earrings!

Ah, cherchez la femme.
If the chain is long enough, that squig might be nested safely between 2 cushions  ;)

Go buy a can of touch up diamond coat car finish. Then matt coat it. You can back a bus over it and it will never chip.

Awesome idea! I'd have maybe used a finecast one as it doesn't chip...

But as you say, it's good you warned them, but they might have some other idea for it. Who knows!
