28mm Adventurers - new update
« on: October 21, 2007, 05:03:42 PM »
Hello All!

These are a couple of adventurers from copplestone that I've painted recently!

there is still some job to do with the bases, but I usually wait until I have a dozen figures or so to do it.

the latest one also has my current work in progress, which is an austin armoured car from sloppy-jallopy, hopefully I'll post some painted pictures soon  :)

PS: let me just say -> great forum! I'm starting to dwell more seriously into pulp gaming recently (although I'm only in the painting/preparing the minis phase), and this particular url has been a great source of ideas and aweness!  :)
Cheers,
Pedro

Very cool.  I'm working on painting the same batch of adventures right now.

Awareness? As in "I need even more stuff than I thought?" I'm hoping that I'll get a bit less aware asap! :)

Good start on the minis! Love to see an update when they are based. Love the tartan pants on the one mini especially.

:D

When I meant aweness I meant to be in state of awe, a lot like this sir on the right ->  :o

but regarding awareness as "fill'em with lead and keep them coming", I guess that is a very common "curse", and no matter what you do you can't get rid of it :)
which reminds me about that evil looking doll I saw the other day in the wargames-shop....  :?

anyway... thanks for the comments, I hope I'll post some updates this weekend! :D

Hello once more! :)

now they are all finished! :) and I added to the pics some German copplestone adventurers and a section of artizan British commandos, still need the bren gunner and helper to finish the squad, but that will have to wait for a new order!

Next in my painting line will be these copplestone red russians! 2 cops and a news reporter from ral partha I found somewhere in my old mini-box, I thought they would be smaller near the other miniatures but they stand out ok.
Probably I will be working on my 15mm Napoleonic peninsula British next, since next year will be the 200th anniversary from the first Napoleonic battles in Portugal and I want to have a decent English/Portuguese force in order to refight Vimeiro, I already have 20 or so battalions but I still need a couple of more and of course cavalry and light infantry which have been on wait since I've been painting the pulp adventurers!

Cheers All! :)

PS: I really don't have a great photographic camera, and my photo skills are really the worse but I hope you can have a good idea of how the minis have ended! :) and I can always excuse myself that the camera did them a horrific paint job!  :D

Gotta get me some vehicles :)

Hello!

finally back on the pulp figures, after devoting my time to 15mm British armoured cars.
finished this one from Copplestone... I call her Lara because she reminds me of the girl from Dr. Zhivago

hopefully this will be the start for the my Russian civil war mini-collection!

I would like to know if the colour of the coat is ok for the reds of the Russian civil war, is it too light? too beige? should be more khaki or green?

cheers!
