My Pulp Cemetery
« on: 29 July 2011, 12:09:19 AM »
I scratch built this cemetery after seeing one done by Games Workshop.  This is made from sheet plastic by Evergreen.  The tombstones are by Woodland Scenics and another company whose name escapes me at the moment.  The mausoleums are scratch built from sheet plastic.  I put in an unpainted Reaper/Chronoscope figure for scale.  The car is a broken die caste 1:43 scale I bought at the swap meet, repaired and painted.

Hitman, thanks for all the very kind words.  I'm glad you enjoyed my postings.  I have a lot of fun doing this stuff, and needless to say I look forward to Saturday mornings at the swap meet.  Richard

Wow, great piece of scenery. I love the masoleums :-* I can almost hear the zombies clawing at their casks to get out.

As I indicated in my initial post, most of this cemetery is scratch built from Evergreen sheet plastic.  The only exceptions are the small headstones.  I knew that some of those headstones were by Woodland Scenics, but I couldn't think of the manufacturer of the others.  I stopped by Brookhurst Hobbies today, which is where I bought those other headstones, and checked for the manufacturer's name.  They are by Terraform Battlefield Scenery and are item #891. Another good source for headstones are the Lemax and other holiday scenics companies. After Halloween at craft stores is the best for getting them cheap. They are a little bigger but mix well.

A very nice walled cemetery! My only complaint is that the grass is too even; I know cemeteries are usually well-maintained by even lawns have a bit of variation in texture over them. Maybe just  a bit of rougher grass at the base of the walls?

Must do a few more cemetery bits to go along with the small hillside graveyard I did almost two years ago!
