Has anyone got one of these sets?  How big are the minis?  What quality?  From the images, I'm not even quite sure whether these are miniatures, or just a solid model of the SW game.

I cant' tell you but you can make your own with Star Wars miniatures : they exist. You just have to build the board and find the rules on Google.

I followed your link, and if you scroll a little longer down, you'll find the Chess again.
It says that it is 1/6 scale to go with the 1/6 Star Wars action figs, which are 12 inch in average.
It shows also a pic of the box, and every mini is single.
Just contact the seller and ask about the size of the single minis
