Skull Rock and more

Here are a few pics of the terrain items I have been working on.

Not for anything in particular because I try to use my terrain for various settings and themes.

These will easily be used for Pirates, Lost World, Predator, Darkest Africa etc.




The Skull on top of this piece is resin and came from http://dreamholme.co.uk/index.html

(Also at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Dreamholme-Collectables ) Although I bought mine in person.

The lower part of the rock is a 2" thick piece of white polystyrene with the detail cut in by hand with a sharp knife.

Not as labourious as it might seem. (But very messy)

That was then covered in a wash of thinned wall filler to give it some strength and texture.

It was then painted with external masonry paint, washed with thinned paint and drybrushed in a few colours.

The final touch was to add static grass and flock


This outcrop was built entirely from white polystyrene as above. This time using 2 layers. Both are based on thin MDF.


This one is actually for an aquarium.  I have done nothing at all to it.


All of them together with another smaller outcrop. The figure is the Artizan 'not' Indy.

Those look great!  I'm pretty sure that's a Copplestone "Not Indy" though.

I'm constantly amazed at how well aquarium stuff fits with 28mm figures. That fits perfectly with your homemade stuff too.

You've really got the touch when skulpting natural rock! Good job! I can't be bothered trying to get it right so I use cork and other barks.

Those look great!  I'm pretty sure that's a Copplestone "Not Indy" though.
