Lunex CV
« on: 20 June 2012, 10:22:35 AM »
Hello LAF,

the Lunex CV (lunar explorer command vehicle) is almost finished... need to fix some paint anormalities add dirt and maybe some decals.

The kit will be in resin and metal and a little challenging to assemble... but once you have the clue it is a lot of fun to put together ;)

Cheers,
Tobi

Erm... was the image above broken the whole time...?  ;D

Anyway here is the completed paintjob on the Lunex...

I'll add a hatch and an engine grill on the two side stabilisers, then it is going to the shop!

Cheers,
Tobi

Looks great, will it be added to the shop before the 12% discount offer ends?  :)

Well done, especially with all the curves. I always find those troublesome to build.

Just out of curiosity: which parts will be metal?

Only the small cog holders will be in metal (x16)

Hmm... I could be persuaded to take discounted preorders for the Lunex... but I don't have a final price yet, that thing is heavy ;)

Cheers,
Tobi

Just wondering, what's the yellow crackling intended to convey?

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

The vehicle has been overpainted in a rush by the new usurpers :`

......

Actually the matt varnish reacted with the paint layer beyond and cracked... no yellow paints where involved and everything had dried for 24 hours... strange, but in the end a nice effect  lol

Now up on BoW (AKA "Breasts of War" - as per news items over the last few days :P):

It's a very nice kit to be sure. Can't think of any real use for it myself, sadly.
