I'll get them painted up, put on a first coat of matt varnish and then see if i'm feeling brave enough to do the piping.

I'll do a mix of trousers in white and grey to break up the uniform look

Now my cannibals are finished its full steam ahead  :D

Well, perhaps not quite full steam ..

Finished the DOAG figures in off-white and thought better of the piping in the end

I have to do the Soldiers with Muskets [Ruga Ruga types] now to finish the Charles Stokes Variant for DitDC

Also, I can just about scrape enough Bearers together with what i have left to finish the IAA list once i've done the Soldiers

I'll have to post some photos shortly.

After the release by Northstar of the Chris Peers DitDC Supplement 1, i checked my list. This is what it looks like now:

Explorers: Charles Stokes Variant 1891 (with Germans in East Africa allies)
Elite Muzungu with Repeater
[Uniformed] Askaris: Untrained Soldiers with Muskets (4 bases)
Armed Porters: Untrained Skirmishers with Muskets (2 x 4 bases)
Allies
Shutztruppe Askaris: Elite Soldiers with with Repeaters (2 x 3 bases)

The biggest change is that Stokes can only have German allies after 1891 & then you have a compulsory 2 x units of Elite Shutztruppe Askaris with Repeaters amf have to accomodate the points.

Also Repeaters aren't quite as good as they were which could make life interesting for them.

In time, i'll pick up some FR Askari so i can combine them with my Cannibals and go off hunting the Arab Slavers ...

Now who gave me that idea?  :D

I've just spotted that you can only have a maximum of 8 x Soldier [bases] using the new DitDC Supplement. I'm assuming that that includes Allies. So ...

Explorers: Charles Stokes Variant 1891 (with Germans in East Africa allies)
Elite Muzungu with Repeater
[Uniformed] Askaris: Untrained Soldiers with 1 x Repeaters & 1 x Breech-Loaders (2 x bases)
Armed Porters: Untrained Skirmishers with Muskets (2 x 4 bases)
Allies
Shutztruppe Askaris: Elite Soldiers with with Repeaters (2 x 3 bases)

Added some Baluchi to my Explorers

I'll probably get another couple of packs of these to form the corp of the Soldiers, rather than rely on the German allies

One of my Pathans (sic) has crept into the back of the shot
