DIY: Gelatinous Cube/Frozen marker

Hello all. I'm not sure if something like this has been posted before, but I thought some folks might find it a fun and easy project.



It's a handy way of showing that a figure is transfixed, for my Song of Blades and Heroes games, but could be used for just about anything that you wanted to be shown as frozen, under a spell, etc.

Let me know what you guys think. I'd be curious if anyone has a recommendation on how to paint these as all of my early attempts have come up empty.

It's what I use for water effects. I'll take a picture and post it.

**edit here's one I already had taken.


In this instance, I just bent clear plastic to be the backing of the cascading water, glued that into place, and then squirted the river bed (which I had painted blue) full of the DAP. You can see a good youtube tutorial of how it's done here

Ha ha this is great! Looks like fun to make, too. You could experiment with washes and transparent paints... I know Tamiya definitely has a Red colour.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I'll have to experiment around with different paints. The wash I tried did not work out very well. Time for a run to Hobby Lobby!
