Thanks all. More on the table now, thoug I feel like I'm running out of good beadwork ideas.

Very nice.
Love them.
Do you think different companies figures match up well together?

Marine, I base my GM stuff on washers and my Conquest, Perry, and now Crusader stuff on mdf.  This evens out the height discrepancies enough helps them mix well on the table (to me), though I don't mix them up within the same unit.  North Star's new stuff is closer to GM in size than anything else, so it too will go on washers.

I'll do a side-by-side sometime soon so you can form your own opinion.

First, nice painting.  the beadwork is crazy good.
A question on figures sizes between brands:
You have Conquest, Perry, and now Crusader.  How do those compare with Dixon, Wargames Foundry, Redoubt and Old glory in stature?  Britania and Blue Moon are other brands with their own size and scale.

Actually I have an even broader collection than what you have listed.  I would divide them in two:

28mm:

Old Glory
Crusader
Eureka
Conquest
Perry

"Heroic"

Galloping Major
North Star

I have WF and Dixon Pirates. I don't think either make FIW ranges but could be wrong.  WF would be a good match for the 28mm list above. Dixon is it's own thing as they have weird proportions and goofy looking heads in general. I don't own any Redoubt but from what I've seen here I believe they are good fits for the Gallloping Major line.

As to Blue Moon, I only have their multipart Indians, which are OK if you fiddle with them a bunch, and are compatible with the 28mm list above.  I haven't seen the Braddock sets but assume they come on the same integral base as other BM stuff. I find these annoying as it's hard to integrate them with my basing methods.

Bead work is brilliant. I don't recollect ever seeing Native Americans with dyed hair before!

I interpreted those as the customary red roach, rather than hair.

Do Google Image searches for the artwork of Robert Griffing. I actually own one of his books, and each page of his paintings gives more and more inspiration.  Nice looking figs!  I also like your beadwork....!
