Just finished a set of Salvage Mech Constructs for DeepWars. They are actually really easy to paint though. The first step is a zenith prime, black all over, then white from the top and off angles. Touch up highlights with thinned white paint. Then when dry, give a layer of thinned gold paint. I used Golden Fluid Acrylic "Irridescent Bright Gold". When dry, give a wash of Burnt Sienna Ink (Liquitex Brand for me). Then when dry, glazes of a sap green + turquoise ink, with some blue here and there and black paint mixed in for shadows.
When all dry, do edge highlights in gold and silver, with some slight glazes of blue ink on the silver parts on the "face". Some flat sections are given light layers of gold + silver, covering up some mistakes in the glazes or areas that are too dark. This is no more than 50-50 paint + water. Sections that needed this were the big claw and the smooth panels on the back.
The glowing blue "ether" powered sections were just thinned white paint + blue ink, or any old light blue would work too. The blade was given some edge highlights in pure white. The eyes are just yellow + white painted in one quick go. The base is primed white, then glazed with multiple colors (green, magenta, blue, brown, purple), all dabbed onto a base of light brown ink that was still wet. Then it was highlighted with a light sand color.

Here are a group of them, with three armored diver troopers stumbling into them.
