Log Cabins
« on: 04 September 2012, 08:48:03 PM »
With the French Indian Wars now taking the focus of activities in the shed I needed to source some log cabins pretty damn quick. For those of you in the know the new Musket & Tomahawk rules & scenarios call for buildings (ie settlers dwellings) to be the focus of activity.

Fortunately the wargaming community came up trumps and some searches later I found these Pegasus hobbies buildings.  A few days later the models arrived and were subsequently built – minus the roofs – I hated the current version and wanted something more organic – hence the towelling thatch.

Loads of pictures on the blog walking you through the transition and if you are looking for 28mm cabins these really rock ! ...oh and they are a great price.

You have made a tidy job of those.  :)

I like these. it's a fast way to get something good looking on the table. It also gives you an opportunity to spend more time on the detailing rather than the build.

I thought of using these with 15mm scale but obviously they are just way too big. Very nice job you have done there

Relic

These would be definitely too big for 15mm -

Thanks for the info :). I almost bought a few of those and would have wasted my money. Sad though since those look really nice.

Possibly stupid question; but do they have any internal details?

They're looking fantastic- the thatching especially!

Cheers

Hey Eric,

Thanks for the post. I've got a few them on order now. They will work perfect for my GS:Delves adventure I am running.

Hi Tenz - delighted to be of assistance...

Hi Old Skool rebel

The internal walls appear to be plastered but other than that no real internals...a couple of photos from each of the buildings

This coming Monday the buildings will see some action !

Hey Eric,

My buildings arrived last week and quickly assembled and painted them. Here a pic of the cabins.

You can check out more on my blog as I did a little entry on them.

Again thanks for sharing your find. Its because of you that I have these little treasures!

Cheers,

Tenz
