I didn't see (correct me if I'm wrong) anything concerning minis
Minis are not specifically mentioned but it is a Dungeon Skirmish game so minis are almost a given
All characters and monsters have stats and skills (and characters can increase their stats and skills through experience)
Initiative
Hit Points
Melee Attack values
Ranged Attack values
Defence value
Magic ability values
Movement value
etc
You can duke it out like any other game but as well as straight out swordplay or missile combat you can do slightly more complex things such as
swing from a chandelier to knock over a monster
jump down from ledges on top of an opponent
sneak past a guard
or sneak up behind a guard and silently despatch him
kick down a door
ambush a guard patrol
jump over a chasm
spot a trap
or most anything else you can think of based on a check using the various attributes .... but I am sure you know this
Like all Roleplay-Lite Skirmish systems (and there are many) this can make for much more enjoyable experience
DS4 looks good and simplified ( never played it myself though

but I liked what I read ). It seems to offer what you ask and appears a step up from the Ravenloft and Ashardalon games
and of course it's free (but I think I mentioned that already)
