Hi blackstone, you have some great vintage minis there. I really like the skin tone on the troll/ogre, he looks like an ogre to me too, in fact he reminds me of an old sculpt from Ral Partha (armoured ogre, or something).

Here is a pic:

Keep posting, your minis look fantastic

You don't realise how good some of the vintage sculpts are until you see them painted to a high standard. It's heartening for a sculptor to remember that you've always been able to make interesting one piece minis.
Yeah I think the goblin raiding party figures were as good as Citadel goblins ever got... EVER! And yeah it's a cracking one piece casting considering the position of the wip.

Lovely. Looks like an armoured version of the same figure... another one on the want list!

Arrggghh! No painting time this weekend. DOH... once things settle down at home ll be attacking that lead pile! Until then what can i do? Another pic of a figures from the lead pile. (now based and primed) Don't know when I got this thought was probably amounsts a haul of vintage lead from a game shop on slater street liverpool sometime early 90's. Who am I to say but the sculpting could be called crude BUT the overall flow and movement of the mini is fantastic. And that club is still a WTF moment... on  another note I've always been drawn to the fact that even thought the mini was (badly) stripped you can still see it had been painted with a green beard/hair...... hmmmm I have a idea brewing btw early citadel hill giant

Sorry no actual painted stuff...but the hill giant is all based, primed ready to go... he's probably moved up the painting queue... and then more figures keep coming along. This classic Frost Giant arrived yesterday from the US, an ebay snaffle! Love it!

Playing around with some old chaos warriors too..
