Horses to go along with the 4Ground wagons & carts?
« on: 11 December 2012, 06:52:42 AM »
Several North American suppliers are now carrying 4Ground's laser-cut buildings and scenery, and I'm becoming increasingly tempted by several of the generic wagons & carts, as scenery and horse-drawn vehicles for several of the genres I play regularly.

So who makes decent horses in harness to pull a wagon or cart? Loads of companies make 28mm saddle horses, they're easy to find, but what about horses in harness tack, or possibly "naked" horses with no tack at all that could have harness straps greenstuffed on?

Edit to add: a bit of random googling just found me Wargames Factory's Horse Sprue Bundle - 12 horses for $3.60 USD. I was highly unimpressed with the WGF Zombies a friend bought a few years back - have they gotten better, or for that many horses for that cheap, does it really matter? Anyone own some of these horses?

Dixon Miniatures sell their harnessed horses individually, so you can buy two or four etc. They also come in standing or galloping poses.

I've been using the Askari miniatures mules and horses and have been happy.

I used Frontrank's horse teams, see them here at the bottom of that page:
