Quite superb. Inspired me in another way too. Think I'll take the kids to Forte Copacabana tomorrow.

:-* :-* :-*
Amazing to see it finished, and great watching it come to life.
I can only echo Andym; How can you part with it?
I couldnt.

"The journey is the reward!" Honestly, I do have some of my works in boxes and crates and glasscases, but no room for such large pieces. And as I will have the opportunity to game on the fort with my friends, it's not that hard to leave it into someone's competend hands ... There might even be the one or other show where you too will have the opportunity to see or even game on it.

Great work Michael!  :-*
Superb building and high quality painting: a masterclass!  :o Inspiring work mate, really like it.
And agree with you about "the journey is the reward". Even if I shared some tears saying farewell to some commissioned minis lol

Thanks Michael for pointing out this project to me while we spoke at Crisis Antwerp.
You are an amazing artist. I love the project and the way you build up the entire project. Verry interesting to see it grow step by step and I picked up some great tips and ideas along the way.

Cheers.

just looked at this thread and is very inspiring as i want to build a vauban fort as well for my napoleonics, it will however have more of the earthworks in front like ravelins, glacis etc but you have acheived a completed fort in a relatively small space for 28mm so well done on your planning

Yes, space is always an issue; I would have liked to build some more of the front earthworks, too, but you need to storage it conveniently. I really would like to see your version of a vauban fort, so why not publish some pics over here once you've started?

That is simply superb!  :o I love the depth of playable space.

It's on par with the LAF Zepplin in my books. These 2 creations have gotten me hooked on the LAF. Does it deserve an award?
