Raphia game at Partizan 2013
« on: 03 June 2013, 05:20:23 PM »
This not so small game was put on by Simon Miller and Craig Davey, I think there were over 1500 very well painted 28mm figures from at least 6 different makers. The game was played using Simon's new rules "To the strongest" and they worked very well. The game was fought to a conclusion in around 4 hours of playing time. The fact that history was not repeated was more to do with my dice rolling rather than the rules not working...lol

A great day with friends.

Thanks to Simon and Craig for all the hard work.

Cheers

Keith

I wish I had at least one Ancients army of 150-200 painted miniatures. From time to time I really would love to play big games. But I'm just too slow for that league :(

Great game and nice to catch up with Simon - quite a serious project!  I liked the terrain boards, flat but interesting.

Seconded! I was surprised to see a board for Ancients not being a yellowish desert or green flat plainness.
