Show Us Your Arc Generators!
« on: July 03, 2013, 01:45:47 AM »
I'm working on a fairly large, mobile Arc Generator for IHMN, but would like some inspiration for man-pack sized A.G.'s too...

What have you been using or creating to power your Arc devices?

Here's what I did, to be pulled by a steam tank. It turned out to be ridiculously huge.

Well, this is what the bits-box gifted me with yesterday morning. Sorry for the crap iPod photos...

Samson's 'All Terrain Arc Generator'

Features a simplified control panel!

Should be able to work for a variety of settings I think.

Thank you sir. This beast is now primed and ready for paint.

Vanvlak, Monkeylite, I have enjoyed reading your posts and your Arc Generators are fantastic!

I like the idea of figures carrying an arc generator, that keeps things simple. But I'm also drawn to the idea of having an objective marker on the table since a generator can continue to run, or even be captured after its operator is dispatched.

This was fun. It's been years since I actually kitbashed anything. Too much focus on historical gaming. o_o

Shot some paint at it at last.

A bevy of recently completed Arc Relay Automated Drones huddle near the warmth and safety of the A.G.

Had a great four player game tonight using Ebonstar's ARAD list, the Arc Generator and a modified VIP scenario. Most satisfying!

Mr. Peabody,
Slapping on the paint really made that totally kick ass!

Mr P: That looks the dog's danglies!

Bloody brilliant!

I have a couple of those street lights somewhere, so a couple of multi purpose AG will be produced at some point.

Not just for IHMN, but also Strange Aeons and Pulp type games.
In fact, they could even work for Star Wars too at a stretch.
Genius!

Some excellent ideas there - I hadnt even thought about repurposing some of my Tamiya 1/48 stuff, but that seems like a promising starting point!

Excellent stuff, gents.

I haven't seen Ebonstar's list, but I created a Mechanickal Menace Company using Arc technology as well. I'll have to compare notes with his version, I see.

Lordbert, Marianas_gamer, you are too kind. Thank you gentlemen.

Definitely enthused to dig through my big, but neglected box of 28mm Goodness to see what's next.

1/48 Works a treat, but it helps to have some 1/72 scale bits as well, so don't neglect a balanced gaming diet that includes 20mm historicals.

Would love to see what you have come up with!

Yes, it's wonderful the way IHMN feeds my Strange Aeons habit and vice versa.  :-*
This beast will do double duty as a Resonator, doomsday device and who knows what else?
