Hi all, I've just finished a short article on the IPN the sensational working class Victorian crime newspaper.  It was famous for its graphic depictions of murders and hangings. Some commentators claim it was the precursor to the EC horror comics. I do know it was accused of fomenting "Ripper Mania" during the White Chapel Murders, it might have even come up with that name, but i don't know that for sure.
