Going down the Xyston or AB woud be the way to go - a little closer to 18mm they pack a lot of detail and paint up well.

Jeff,those are lovely,great colours,the detail you've included would pass muster on 28's,smashing.

Lovely work again, Jeff! May I ask how long do you need to paint up a unit like this?

Going down the Xyston or AB woud be the way to go - a little closer to 18mm they pack a lot of detail and paint up well.

Are they actually much bigger than the classical 15mm? Does anyone know some size comparison pics?

Hi Prof, glad you like the figures. I can normally paint four of these tacked onto a large lollipop stick in the same time it takes me to paint a 28mm figure. I undercoat in black give the figure a heavy dry brush of bestial brown from GW and then a light dry rush of straight white. This then gives me a good first coat for any flesh areas and also takes care of any belts or straps. From then on in its straight forward three layer on all colours but with 15mm this tends to be a small palette and obviously smaller areas so a lot faster.
As far as comparison shots are concerned I can't help you, maybe someone on here can. I had a quick google but didn't find anything. I only own this range in ancients so I have none to do a photograph myself.
What I can do is send you some samples from my spares box if you like just pm me. What I will say is that they are what I would call large 15s nearer 18mm.
