From "The Purgatory Chronicle", July 1879
- I sit here wondering what the future will hold for my adopted town after today. Marshall Ben Calhoun and four Deputies have been gunned down in furious gunfight with the outlaw Bonner Gang. The lawmen walked down Main Street in the blazing July sun toward Martin's Livery and Corral, to disarm the rowdy Cowboys. Bonner and his boys were itching for a fight, and one who was deep in his cups wildly opened fire on the lawmen, starting the battle. Not a single law abiding citizen was seen that day, as if they knew something terrible was about to occur.
For several furious minutes, guns blazed as the Marshall and his men tried to best the Cowboys. One by one though, the lawmen fell, with a single Cowboy falling dead. As the dust settled, five brave lawmen lay dead on the ground, as their blood flowed from their bodies, it would forever be part of the soil of Purgatory.
The streets of Purgatory are now rules by the Lawless, who will come to restore order, who? -

All,
This was my refight of the "Just Okay Corral" scenario from "Fistful of Lead" Even with one cowboy drunk and one greenhorn! A bloody day and a bad one for the law.
