Revell Microwings
« on: 30 August 2013, 09:13:56 AM »
Hi Chaps and Chapesses!

Picked up one of the newly re-released Revell Microwings 1/144 Spitfire's at a local Hobby store (Hobbycraft in the UK). They're a doddle to put together and look ok in terms of detail. I painted the canopy however they do come transparent however there isn't any cockpit detail so not sure if they'd look right. I'll be getting some more as support in my 15mm WW2 gaming and also for Wings of War WW2.

As always a few more pics on the blog - http://offtclub.blogspot.co.uk/

Looking good.  I have a few of these in the stash but am yet to build any.

I picked up a few from Hobbycraft and at a show but not got round to building them yet. I had previously got some of the Airfix Minikits cheap from Modelzone which were 1/100 and pre-painted. Problem was it was very difficult to get anymore and those that were available were not cheap along with the various metal/resin ones made in that scale. So Microwings became the way forward, Pendraken stock a much wider range than Hobbycraft

Also available from plastic kit specialists one of which I got them from at a show, Harfields IIRC

Ooh, I didn't realise Pendraken stocked them. I'll have to send them a few of my hard earned in return for some toys (I'd rather give them the cash than Hobbycraft!)
