The officers die as the first - BGKursk game.
« on: 16 September 2013, 06:54:57 PM »
Another Battlegroup Kursk game, but this time with the result - finally someone won! Third game with this system was the smoothest so far, but there are still some questions. For example, can infantry shoot at infantry which is inside the halftruck (like SdKfz 251) and caused casualties?
The report from the game on my blog:

and some pictures:

the fighting was at very short range this time!

Nice piece of kit you have there, with regard to infantry fire against 251's I would say no, it would have been pointless producing them if they didn't stop small arms fire.

If Piers reads this he will no doubt be able to give an answer rules wise.

Unlike American Half-tracks that didn't?

And that's  how we played this time. But as far there are different cover saves (5 different for infantry - I'm writing it without the book now), I thinking that in that case it would be possible to get some casualties. Anyway Im waiting for Piers'es answer.

For clarity, Piers has confirmed on The Guild Forum that the rules do not allow for targetting troops in armoured carriers with small arms fire.
