I think Vampires and werewolves show up in High Rise to Hell suppllement but I don't own any of the Horror or Post Apoc THW sets.

Gracias,

I have to concur with what the others have said; Call of Cthulu is one of the best RPGs ever (as is Runequest in its original Chaosium garb of which was the basis for CoC),if I were to play an RPG again  I wouldn't play anything else.Played in an campaign in my late teens for four years every Saturday, fond memories :)

I love CoC and was introduced late to the party too. In my opinion the best RPG out there too.

My out look on the game is that your character IS going to die (or go insane), but it's HOW he dies (or goes insane) that is important.

I GM'ed the excellent Cthulhu Invictus (Roman CoC) scenario "The Legacy of Arrius Lurco", but unfortunately the campaign ended prematurely. Our actual play audio is still available to listen to if anyone is into that kind of stuff http://adventuresinlead.blogspot.com.au/search/label/actual%20play%20audio

Must say I was having a ball (and a good laugh  lol) with it all...

This a demanding design task. I don't think there are any real good RPGs for solo play. The trouble is that you made up the clues, there is no thrill in revealing them. That is the fun of Call of Cthulhu.

One thought though is something like Clue. You know what the clues are but not what order they will appear in and how the characters will react to them. That gets decided in the moment. So clues could be on cards and you could make up what people reveal about themselves as you play and then let that inform reinterpreting what the clues mean based on differences in the picture.

Pretty far out there stuff. Could be fun.

Best solo experience would be THW games. You shouldn't think that it's just a question of random events put together in a game. You never know what will happen in the game, what NPCs will do and react.

The offgame are also very similar to RPGs, and very interesting if it's something you're interested into.

These games are also versatile concerning the universes and backgrounds you can play with. Each game have his own setup, own background, but you can easily modify and tweak it to your own needs.
