Has anyone tried Victoria Miniatures' Victorian Guard Riflemen?

I was just wondering if anyone has used any of these Not-Imperial Guard minis as a basis for IHMN British army figures?

The minis look great and maybe only need a little modification to the rifles to make them a little less futuristic.  Anyone know how they compare to the official IHMN line size-wise?

I expect that as they are supposed to 'not' be for Wartyforhammer, they might be of a similar scale to those.

Not seen a direct comparison but given they're larger than GW I'd say they're possibly too big.

I had considered using some of the Victoria minis extra bits like goggles and respirators and heads and such on Warlord plastic Zulu war Brits to make some Victorian Scifi troops.  (Didn't want troops with laser/electro weapons...just good ol' Martinis.)  Hmmmmm.  Seems like the heads may be too large to use, though.

Steady there got to remember that the GW figure is a old Pretorian figure from years back (I have about 200) it's smaller again than the current plastic GW range which fit in ok with Victorias metal range as I believe they where designed as "add ons" before she expanded the range further....it is again a matter of taste as to what fits

They are, but the Warlord Brits are comparable to the old figures. From what I've seen/heard, the VM figures are bigger than the plastics.

The bit you really want is about two thirds down the page. Short of it is a plastic Cadian is 28mm to the eye (I can confirm this as I've measured them in the past to settle an argument), while a VM figure is 31mm to the eye. This can of course vary depending on pose and options etc.

Apparently the Curious Constructs figures scale well to the old Praetorian figs. Might have to go take a look.
