Looking for plastic peltasts
« on: 26 November 2013, 11:11:12 PM »
Ok, so I'm building a late Hoplite army for Hail Caesar.  I've got hoplites covered wih two boxes of Immortal  and half a box of vicrtic plastics.  Does anyone know of a good source for plastic peltasts that will match the scale of the Immortal figures?  The Googles have failed me for extant manufacturers.

For that matter, anyone know of good/cheap/hopefullyplastic greek cavalry?

Much appreciated.

Don't k ow how well they will work for you, but give the wargames factory Libyan skirmishers a try. They are un armored and come with the options of arming them with, javelins, swords, shields, slings and bows.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I'd give the Agema miniatures velites a shot. They mix very well with Immortal greeks proportion wise all you need to do is use some of the spare greek heads and get some other shields for them. http://agemaminiatures.co.uk/

How about these "Numidians" from Wargames Factory, they are meant to be generic light infantry -

Yeah, I think at the moment your best bet is either Agema Velites or WGF Numidians, although my understanding is that Victrix are also planning a set of ancient light infantry that would be suitable. Who knows how long til they're out, though.
