New Gran Colombian Infantry released by Orinoco Miniatures

I am happy to announce that we have now released our new packs of 28mm Gran Colombian Infantry for the South American Wars of Independence (1809-1829).
Spanish infantry will be released very shortly and are currently being cast up. We hope that they will be available in the next 14 days.

Those really are rather nice. I'm actually in Colombia at this very moment in time, in Medellin but I visited the military museum in Bogota about a week ago. Your timing is extremely felicitous. I think I can see myself buying some of those when I get back. Any chance of some suitable cavalry and artillery?

Thank you Carlos. I'm glad you like them. We have now started sculpting Llanero cavalry, and some artillery crews will be just behind them. Realistically these will be released in early 2014.

Until we have a full range of cavalry, it's quite easy to use a mix of British or French Napoleonic hussars (either in shakos or fur busby) for many of the Spanish and Patriot Cavalry units. Bear in mind that infantry tended to dominate both armies and in many of the battles there was only Llanero cavalry.

Early 2014 suits me.I won't be in a poition to paint anything until at least late Feb anyway.
