Superlazy minis.
« on: December 27, 2013, 11:37:16 PM »
I am in the process of writing my own superhero skirmish rules and have also found some other people at my local gaming club that are willing to give it a go, so I needed to dust of my old Heroclix. I have neither the energy nor time to re-paint them (have seen some stunning works here on the forum) so I opted for a speedy shortcut. I dunked them in Armypainter Quickshade!!!

As this was the first time I've ever done this, I discovered (a bit too late) that some of the medium had pooled (at bottom of a cloak or another spot) so in the future I will look more carefully over a mini after shaking it. But overall, I'm very happy with the result.

Will do another batch at some point, have a lot of cardcraft terrain to put together as well.

I hear ya. I am working on some rules as well ( superforceseven.com ) and when you are dumping time into rules, repainting and terrain building just takes the back seat for time.

Here's a few other time savers. 1). These plastic crates:

Make great buildings.

And these plastic furniture sliders:

Make great, cheap, bases.

Good luck. I will be looking for your rules.
The only thing better than gaming... is more gaming!
