Hasslefree mesaan
« on: February 19, 2014, 03:42:23 PM »
Has anyone got painted pics of Mesaan? I have been considering using them as Envoys for 7TV and had intended to get facehuggers as coch kin.....
Anybody out there painted them as crab people?
I want to get an idea of them painted before I add even more to the leadpile...

These were an experiment to see what washes on a metal base coat looked like:

Apparently, the second one can do whatever a spider can...  :D

Love that Spidermesaan paint job.  Those wash on metal basecoat figures look pretty sharp in the pictures.  How do you think they look in person?

Aslo, Ajsalium: I'm really struck by the look of your starship corridors placed on a starscape mat.  Something about most starship corridor tabletops always struck me as being a little off, but I couldn't place my finger on it.  See that one picture, it struck me that's the missing element.  Putting the corridors on a starscape really makes that style table 'work' in a way I'd never seen before.  I'm definitely adding that to my bag of tricks.

Cheers. They look as sharp as the pictures... it works but you need to keep the washes thin.
