Dark Age Four-Wheel Wagons
« on: February 22, 2014, 03:31:34 PM »
I’ve been working on a couple of scratch-built four-wheeled ox wagons. They’re crewed and wheeled for early medieval/Dark Ages but some pre-cast spoked wheels (from somewhere like Irregular) and a different driver and these could be farm transport for many eras.

The build report is in two posts, here:

And here:

The how-to is mainly in the two-wheel cart post. The principals of construction are the same – just a bit bigger with more wheels. Here's the result:

I converted my drivers from Gripping Beast Dark Age plastics, which I think has worked well enough.

Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe, hammer to fit, paint to match!

this has to be a new Olympic sport! It looks so cool.

I see what you mean. I hadn't thought of that...

Sitting on a cut-down pop rivet while hitting your opponent over the head with a big stick. Cable TV is going to love it! lol

Always like to see plastic bashing in action.
