I am interested in picking up DuxBrit as an alternative system to Saga, the campaign system in particular sounds very appealing. There's an introductory video on youtube which explains some background and campaign stuff, but I was unable to find part 2 which promised some gameplay action. No problem, there are plenty of reviews and snippets around to convince me that I want it.
However, my two main forces that I want to use are Saxons and Vikings, roughly 200 or 300 years ahead of the Romano-Brits and Saxons of the ruleset. Is this a big problem? Are the rules generic enough to allow me to use vikings, I realise that the background and campaign system will be pretty specific but am hoping that it's possible to tweak it and "jump" it forward a couple of centuries? Or should I look to the new book, which I understood to be raiders from the north of the British Isles, not raiders from across the North Sea as the vikings were?
In a nutshell, can I use DuxBrit with my Saxons as the incumbent rulers, the vikings as the raiders from overseas?
