my first zombie survivor (painted 13/4)
« on: 10 April 2014, 11:24:02 AM »
So i recently decided to try my hand at zombie games, and have purchased some reaper bones minis from the bazaar. I chose this guy as my main character, but wanted him to be a bit better armed so gave him a crowbar and a pistol in his otherwise empty holster (seriously, is he supposed to shove that san-off in that holster  o_o )

Does the crowbar look ok? I made it out of an old piece of 40k rhino railing. My main doubt is that it might look too big?
I have removed the moldline on his head after seeing the picture though.

Looks very much the part, the crowbar. Is the angled part just bit too long?

My thoughts exactly.
crowbars come in different sizes. At work we got the "small" ones (15" long) with a curved ending and a large type which measures some 48" and looks like the one you're aiming for.
The angled end piece is about 3" long on that type.
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons,
for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

It looks AOK!

Just the thing one would scrounge up whilst in the middle of the zombie apocolypse to bash in a zed head.

I look forward to seeing it painted up.

What rules are you useing?

Yeah i might shorten the curved side a bit,or i might try to apply some heat and get a more rounded form for it.

What rules are you useing?

i have the chain reaction 2,0 and 3,0 rules so gonna give them a go first, and if that suits me i will splash out for the aal things zombie version.

Unless i find something more interesting. I will give akula's rules a try too while i'm at it.

Anybody use the USE ME zombie rules btw? I have their ww2 rulebook and they are OK.

I Love ATZ!
They are a blast to play with a bunch of friends or solo.
Also, Ed is a great guy.
If you haven't seen it, check out the blog by Vampifan. He has two ATZ campaigns worth of AARs that are excellent.

I look forward to seeing your AARs.
Good luck.

I have been looking at his site the last two days  :D

I want to try a different approach though, more of a rural setting like in 28 days later.
Curious how that will work.

Nicely converted. You could also try these by Grekwood miniatures and they are free :)

So got the first ones finished:

Was refreshing using some colour after almost two years of ww2 army drab colours. Also had  a  first go at painting a tattoo!
