Pulp Alley AAR - Unearthly Killer
« on: 20 April 2014, 12:00:56 AM »
Pulp Girl, having been contacted by her higher ups in the secret society to investigate mysterious murders in the nearby area, finds herself in a small trading town. “I have a bad feeling about this,” mumbles Bowler as he eyes the skulls warily. “We have a job to do. Stop being a wimp,” Mak rolls his eyes at his brother.

“Everyone spread out and question the locals.” Pulp Girl orders, everyone breaking off to find someone willing to talk to them.

Pulp Girl goes up to the first house and knocks. “Nobody home!” calls someone from the other side of the door.

Mak climbs a ladder and tries his luck at a door. A dancer opens the door with caution. “Ma’am, do you know anything about these murders?” She nods and opens the door a bit more. “Come in, I’ll tell you everything.” Mak learns that the murderer is the tortured soul of the dancer’s dead brother. She does not know what has happened to him but she can show the way to his grave.

Mike tries to ask the men at the store house questions about what’s happening but they yell at him to go away. One throws a pipe wrench at him but he dodges and decides to give up here.

Naga tries to ask about the murders but doesn't get very far as she is a dog. "Woof Woof. Woof?" She decides to lay down and nap through this one.

Bowler finds the governor hiding out in one of the buildings. He explains that the beast is being controlled by a sorcerer who wants revenge since the plantation owners are moving in on his territory.

A great rumbling comes from the depths of the jungle as the sorcerer emerges with the mutated beast.

The group gets into position to take on the terror.

The creature charges Pulp Girl but she breaks away to a safe distance.

Pulp Girl runs to a safe distance away from the beast before unleashing her Enochian power. The beast is completely unaffected.

Mak also tries his luck and unloads his gun on the creature to no effect.

Bowler gets ready to hold off the monster while Pulp Girl runs to take care of its master. When the beast attacks, Bowler dodges quickly. “Man, this guy smells awful!”

Pulp Girl gets into position and blasts beams of energy at the sorcerer, taking him down and out.

Once the sorcerer is gone, the creature disappears in a gulf of fire and smoke.

Pulp Girl finds the man’s tampered grave before salting and burning his bones. “Rest in peace now.”

The mission was successful and the sorcerer was apprehended and turned into IRES. “It’s going to take weeks to get the smell of fish out of my nose.” Pulp Girl says as she hops into their car. “Mike, take us home.”

Awesome! The investigation aspect is a new twist here.

I suspect this was some playtesting for Vice Alley?

The scenario feels like a modification of one in Perilous Island, Soerabaja Manhunt.

Thanks for the comments. The part of the Unearthly Killer was played by Vesper-On's Carnevale: Radru-Rashaar.  ;)
