Window moulding for 28mm?
« on: April 28, 2014, 03:52:51 AM »
I'm going to start working on a board for Pulp City/Zombies and would love to use Sarissa Precision buildings but the windows are so plain. Brownstones tend to have detail above and below the windows. Does anyone make something appropriate for the task?  I haven't had much luck.

You could make it up by using different bits of Plastruct / Evergreen strip to build up a moulding. Sounds like hard work though. Maybe some of the railway supply houses could provide something?
Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe, hammer to fit, paint to match!

Mitch,

not at all! :D
I did several masters of different windows, the mould, and now I'm able to cast all the windows I need.
Moulding and casting is very simple, there are lot of tutorials on line.

You could also take some of the offcuts from the sarissa "sprues" and use them as stone molding above the windows. And or for window sills.
