15mm Scale Explosions
« on: 29 April 2014, 08:35:01 PM »
Well here's my attempt at explosions for my 15mm WWII-

And here's a few how to pictures-

Some basic florists wire

Stick to a base with some Woodland Scenics clump foliage on top to hold it better

Skewer more clump foliage on to the wire

Undercoat black then drybrush with different shades of grey
Digitus Impudicus

Clever.  Looks the biz too.  My only suggestion would be to add some dust/dirt colors.  When the real stuff goes off the shokwave moves material in front of the fireball.  You end up with a lot of material that is not part of the explosive train being thrown into the air first.  Very cool effect.

Very nice. I have done something similar. But I added some round beads to the base and painted them like fireballs.
