Thought this may be of interest to some of you.   Seems to be a scenario book, with some cool 'what ifs' as well as actual battles, and a couple different sets of rules to play them out.   They'll have counters for ships, or higher levels can get Topside Miniatures (nicely printed color stick on counters and wood bases for them).   

I have a sample ship Topside sent me, and they are pretty high quality, and look nice.   Maybe not as nice as 3D minis painted an based, but for a guy with less painting time and storage room, they are priced well enough that their use as a stand in for 3D ships in a period which is of minor interest makes me a lot more likely to give the period a try.
