Obsession gets a Boot Hill and shop terrain!!!
« on: 04 July 2014, 09:53:18 PM »
A while ago I got my order from Frontline Wargaming (UK), the Boot Hill section and the General Store bits. It has taken me a while to get around to painting them but here are my efforts. They are very reasonably priced (about £10 for both kits) and have that nice rough frontier edge to them. There are several Foundry civilians in the pictures, the shop is from Sarissa and the hearse is from Warbases.

I am awaiting the release of FoL: Reloaded and itching to do a scenario with the hearse...  ;)

Cheers mate, I might make the Boot Hill into a separate piece with a stone wall around.

Nice additions, sir.
I particularly like the stuff for the shop interior.

I agree with Mason, the interior details really bring the store to life!

Thank you! I am not so bothered in other games I play, but I do enjoy to deck my OW stuff out with bits and pieces. And now that DMH/ 4Ground are churning out so much nice stuff I plan to decorate every building I have (need to get a hotel at some point...  ;)). I have my eyes on shop counters, gun cabinet and loose weapons for my gunsmith, would be nice to find a bathtub/ barber interior also.

Eureka Minis have a couple of Bathtub fillies as well as a Dirty Old Man to occupy one tub.

I am trying to resist furnishing my buildings but have to admit it does look good.
Thing is where do you stop, the Sarissa store is quite big and could almost do with more fittings and clutter to fill it up.
Just got myself a hearse as well, an extra bit of clutter for the Undertakers yard, maybe with an occasional trip up to Boot Hill.

I hear you!!!  ;) I only have 8 buildings in total but I have furniture for the Bank, the Sheriff's Office, the Saloon and now the General Store. Next up I'd like to decorate the Sarissa house, the Gunsmith, the Barber and the Pharmacy. So far all bits are from Frontline Wargaming, but might get some shop counters and chest of drawers from 4Ground, maybe print out wallpapers as well (saw Knuckleduster publications have some Victorian ones for free...)

You guys are preaching to the choir...the temptation to fill all of my buildings with furniture is strong - but people don't go in them nearly enough, and it'd be $10-30 additional per building.  That's a ton o' change.

With only 8 buildings my side, it's more affordable  ;).

I actually only have maybe 10 buildings if I don't count my half dozen adobes.  However being broke doesn't help things.  lol

It certainly doesn't!!! I don't have the skill, time nor patience to scratchbuild my stuff, but I aim to spend little (Frontline Wargames IS very reasonably priced, and I'm living in the UK...) and get lots of satisfaction out of it.
