80s Ral Partha monsters
« on: 13 November 2014, 05:39:15 PM »
Been working on these old 80s classics from Ral Partha in between commissions. I did them with the intention of selling them, but as usual now that I've finished them I'm not sure I really want to part with them. I'm open to offers but I won't be putting them up on ebay.

HA! That Ettin is something else. If the Cyclopes had his hand a little closer to his crotch it would be very inappropriate. =D

Great painting.  Thirty years on, they're still good sculpts.

How strange. I'm painting the same cyclops model at the moment. It's a great sculpture.

WONDERFUL WORK! They are all BEAUTIFULLY DONE, but I love the Ettin.

Like many, they were sold by both. Someone cleverer will know the exact details of the arrangement.

Funny how often "Out of print 80's Citadel" models can still be bought new. I fell for it with Tom Mier's zombie dragon once!

If I recall correctly, Citadel was originally set up to produce Ral Partha figures in the UK under license, and expanded from there.

Harryhausen-tastic!

I really miss those old pen and ink illustrated catalogues. They hit me smack between the eyes with concentrated nostalgia.
