THX1168 CamBot
« on: 22 November 2014, 12:28:56 AM »
When Marlene was replaced with a younger reporter decided to strike out on her own as a freelancer, she needed a TriVid camera. Cheap, robust and readily available, the THX1168 series of 3D CamBot was her first choice. Shown here in its clean, if somewhat careworn paint scheme.

Marlene posing with her new used bot that she affectionately calls Thix.

The bot is just an old GW tank bit stuck on a pin that I rescued from the parts pile as I needed a camera for Marlene, who was wonderfully painted by Michi.

Sorry, I had a computer crash while posting.
I'm adding the fluff now.

Certainly looks better than the bunnybot she originally came with.   :D

Although I did give mine away to someone who actually liked hatsune miku (and lives in Japan now).

"The bot is just an old GW tank bit stuck on a pin that I rescued from the parts pile..."

The store manager and I used to just shrug our shoulders seeing sprues with high bitz counts in the trash. Like you can ever have too many heads when they look so good stuck on a pike!

Takes vision, mind you; weapons and body parts are fine for littering the battlefield, but takes a bit of genius to see that camera out of simple parts. Awesome sauce, indeed.
