Update about Khurasan's Nikeforian Byzantine range

Due to its long-term popularity our 15mm Nikeforian Byzantine range has been substantially expanded regarding all of the heavy cavalry poses. The kataphractoi (super-heavy cavalry) now have three poses of each type (lancer or maceman), instead of just one lancer and two macemen. The heavy and medium cavalry also now have three poses each, instead of two.

Each one of the above is also now available with either a large round shield or a teardrop/kite shield (larger than the one originally released). This, as well as the depiction of the new rider poses, is based on the depictions in Timothy Dawson's books on the Middle Byzantines.

There are now three poses of unarmoured horses as well.

We do not currently have paintup images of these expanded codes but will add them as soon as we can.   They are in a long queue and in fact we now have a huge bottleneck of unpainted models that is only slowly being unraveled.

In the meantime the images on the site show only a fraction of the poses in each pack.

Soon we will also be adding a pack of Byzantine horse archers in head wrap with felt body armour.  Stay tuned!
