Before rolling about on the floor laughing, remember there's no such thing as a daft question, this one might come close though... which way round do you glue the shields on!?
Some have a pronounced lip on 'em which I first cogitated should be to the front, a further cogitate, made me realise that then the transfers won't fit...

Hi Harry, it's not a daft question! I wondered exactly the same thing and had to go hunting around the Internet for guidance. I eventually realised, like you, that transfers wouldn't fit if the lip was at the front so it must be at the back instead. That's what I went with and it looks right to me! :-)

I'd guess the lip is the front skin flapped over to the back to hold it in place
