Plynkes are you a Salopian as well?

Nope, a proud Herefordian, though the closest town to me is Ludlow. I do, however, have the blood of some Salopian forebears in my veins. I'm also a fair bit Welsh. Bit of a mongrel bunch, us Marcher sorts.

Gadzooks! Hereford now, well I suppose everyone has to come from somewhere. Yes, I also have some welsh in me, though I try not to shout about it. The Pughs apparently escaped from Wales after some bright spark decided they should all be hung. Cattle thieves, don't you know.

Beautiful photos. :) I so want to go to the UK someday. :) So many things to see and do. :)

If you make it Anna Elizabeth, put Duxford IWM top of your list. Pre war and Battle of Britain airfield later used by your mob flying Mustangs, there's a magnificent tribute in the form of a memorial wall for the WWII USAAF in Europe...

hi Harry. :)

Yes, I can imagine my dream vacation - Portsmouth, Duxford, the Imperial War Museum, shopping in London, Edinborough, Seeing Scapa Flow and the Old Man of Hoy..... Changing of the Guard at the Palace, Glastonbury :D

Maybe someday.

We'd better get back Medieval before the mods strike...
don't forget a visit to Jorvik (York) where the Vikings set up shop!

Yes indeed, York is pretty much a holiday in itself. Then there's the Battlefield Centre at Bosworth (even if it's in the wrong place), the Richard III centre at Leicester (okay not as good as the Battlefield Centre imo, but if you're around there it would be a shame not to go). The Tower Armouries at Leeds.

... and of course our world famous lukewarm beer, artery-lining cuisine and cholesterol-packed desserts.  ;)

We'd better get back Medieval before the mods strike...

Oh come on, we're not that bad... mostly.  ;)

"Pu-may-man".

"I am a Wood Sprite. Tee Hee." XD

And oh yes, I'll never be able to afford all that, but I hope I get to do some of it, someday. As Arlequin says, York could be a vacation all on it's own. :)
