Yes, the classic fantasy skirmish system is not only still alive, but undergoing an update thanks to Our Man in Germany Sebastian Klapdor:

Sebastian has worked like a Fiend charging straight out of the Bladelands to investigate, playtest, and rekindle awareness of Bladestorm. He's done a splendid job to date chronicled on the Metal Express Forum's Bladestorm boards:
