Nope - the Frostgrave Folio will contain all the digital supplements that will have been released (i.e. Hunt for the Golem, Sellsword, Dark Alchemy, Arcane Locations) and some brand new material that won't have appeared anywhere before.
Conversely, for those of us who already have the above in digital form, will the brand new material be available to download?

I would assume not, as it would make it redundant to have exclusive information to it, as that is the point. If there wasn't exclusive information in the Folio, it also would be redundant, unless it was cheaper than all of the books put together, in which purchasing all of THOSE would be redundant. However it would be redundant to even make a Folio without exclusive information, as it would likely only really appeal to new players, so it would be redundant to put it here, where all the fans that already have all the books can see. (I genuinely did not intend to say "redundant" that often haha). I am curious as to what the exclusive addition will be.

Thank you,

I do hope you enjoyed reading whatever it is I have typed, I likely put some thought into it, and appreciate when others look into my brain and go, "Huh, okay"

So... I'm desperate to have a "complete" version of this game.

And by complete I mean I won't buy books forever. I currently own just the core book and hunt for the golem. I am very satisfied with my content thusfar.

I would prefer some additional solo chalanges. I'm saddened that content varies in quality and that content that I want to read (i.e.-traps) is paired with content I don't care much for (i.e. New Wizard School)

I would love to see the soft covers in a package deal- like a Nickstarter called "Tomes of Forbiden Knowlage".

There is a good chance I will play Frostgrave for years- I don't want this extra material to slip away as so many others have...

real cover or not I WANT IT!!!

Maybe Osprey should release posters.
Possibly as Christmas merchandising etc? (free with orders over£xxx)

or special giveaways/prizes (spot the golem competition?)
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

Personally, I'm hoping they re-print everything from this list, because my "rules collecting compulsion" wouldn't be satisfied without them :P ...Also, they're fantastic bits of writing and really deserve the print treatment! (well i haven't read the Spanish article, but I'm sure it's top notch).

FYI. The WI Campaign Day special rules are back up for download http://wargamesillustrated.net/frostgrave-campaign-day-download/

Necromoprh - the scenarios on my blog are unlikely to receive publication anywhere else. They were never intended as commercial products and have been given away for free (not much incentive for Osprey to try and sell them!). Thanks for the complement about the writing though!

WallyTWest - Frostgrave was always intended to be a game that could be expanded as much or as little as players wanted. I'm sure lots of people will stop at the first book and happily play with just those rules. If you are looking for more solo play, you should check out Dark Alchemy as that has three scenarios designed to be played solo.

In the end though - new Frostgrave material will likely continue to come out as long as three conditions are met. 1) There is customer demand  2) Osprey is making money  3) I'm having fun writing it.  Right now, all of these seem to be happening. I can understand your desire to have a complete set, but I think most people would prefer the game to be a 'living entity' with new material coming out on at least a semi-regular basis.

I'm sorry if you think the content varies in quality. If so, there is no one to blame but me as I have written all of it. Just to clear up one misconception though - there are no new wizard schools in any supplement I have written or I am working on. The Beastcrafters from Into the Breeding Pits are an option that is open to wizards from any school.

Which games out there are "complete"? Is the expectation for Frostgrave to come out with a new edition of the core rules over and over?

Other games get away with releasing expansions all the time, I'm confused why people take so much issue with Frostgrave doing it. Or rather is the number of them the problem? ...Whilst I'll buy them all, they're not necessary. Though is the point that people want to buy them all, but there's so many, and would rather the releases be slowed and combined into collections like the Folio?

At the moment I'm playing the campaigns a book behind the release schedule. They're spread out enough that you can easily get away with this. Its hardly like the meta changes massively with each expansion, so I'm unsure how the gamut of content right now could be a bad thing.

So is this the expected title page for it? Just came across this, probably old news.

Edit: Okay, just found this page http://therenaissancetroll.blogspot.co.nz/2016/09/the-frostgrave-folio.html 13th september (I'm definitely behind the times.)

I'm so glad the Folio is coming out!
I just discovered this game, haven't played yet.
I'm ordering all the books!
