Other Chinese models?
« on: 18 July 2016, 11:28:28 PM »
Ok so Copplestone and Brigade, any other manufacturers that I can pass off as 1930's Chinese?
Peasants perhaps from earlier periods? I could use these as local levy for example?

Thanks
Tim

I'd like to say Pulp Figures, but unfortunately they are currently being remastered.  The range used to include (and will soon once again include) a wide range of Chinese soldiers, revolutionaries, gangsters, civilians and more.  You can see them here http://pulpfigures.com/products/category/14 but unfortunately you can't order them!

The withdrawn Pulp Chinese are available from Crucible Crush for a limited time(according to the Pulp site) - But you might want to wait for the remodelled ones.

I have used the Copplestone red spears the other way around and took them back in time so I do not see any reason why not.

Reiver Castings have a Sino Japanese range that has some suitable figures for the late 30's.

Thanks for the input chaps.

I've had a look at Reiver Castings but I felt a little unimpressed with the quality.
To be honest I've already decided on using Copplestone for most of my requirements and Pulp would seem to fill most gaps.
I was just checking to see if there was any ranges I hadn't discovered yet!

I'm based in the UK, are Crucible Crush ok to buy and ship over here?

By using the 'remastered' word, am I to assume that any current models available have lots of flash on them from worm moulds?

Thanks again for your input.

Tim,
I recently received an order of the Chinese student militia and the Chinese student militia with peasant hats. The minis were good crisp casts.  I had very little clean up to do.

Eureka do a few Chinese pirates that may fit the bill:

Tsuba have a few Chinese in their miscellaneous section:

I think they are more late 19th Century, but might be usable.
