Looking for a small hookah
« on: October 23, 2008, 03:43:34 PM »
Aren't we all.

Has anyone ever run across a small model of said smoking device. 1/35 or maybe even a bit larger would suit as I plan on using it as the base for an Arabian steam engine.

Thanks,

Mike

I have a vary nice one that came with an Alice in Wonderland from Andrea Miniatures. Bit pricey just for the hookah though.

Murray Head was on Radio 2 the other day whilst I was driving. One night in Bangkok - small hookers

Nice idea. If someone can finf a suitable hookah I may get a couple too. After I get this weekend's big battle out of the way, one of the two projects I will be concentrating on will be my VSF 'Grand Turk' army - so look out soon for a serious steam war machine as the centrepiece of my army ....

Mike - PM me at some point. Maybe we can exchange ideas.

amazon miniatures has a hookah in their legends of araby range.
[it includes a nude princess on ornate couch and parrot]

item PD040 on:

I think it is suitable for the tent interior of your CiC!

Do you have that figure or have you seen it, argsilverson? I'm wondering because it's listed as being of the "Pendragon" brand, and most of the Pendragon sculpts pictured on the Amazon website look absolutely horrible. So I'm just curious to know what this particular figure looks like.

I found a photo somewhere in the net. So, I have seen only one photo.
I cannot find anything more just now, if I remember well it looked no bad. Sometime it entered my list of wants, but never realised.

An idea crossed my mind, while rereading this thread.

I fance that Bob's hookah will be same casting as the figure. So invest in 2 of amazon's princess with hookah [and the other paraphernalia] and you have 2 hookas which are separate castings, as far as I can remember.
So, your arabian/turkish/oriental etc steam tank will have 2 small engines instead of one large. It is a bit pricey but...
